Obnoxious, impolite and very arrogant female demanding I pay my bill. I have a dispute with these clowns, who, incidentally, could not organise the usual in a brewery with all the lights on! I politely informed her to ask her left hand what the right hand was doing and hung up. My meter has been 'dead' for 13 months now, so no one has the vaguest idea how much I owe: moreover, I have been getting text messages from them asking me to send them a meter reading two or three times a week since March!! Unbelievably incompetent company.

Rang my mobile and ask for my mum who died 18 months ago. Asked if I had given them the meter reading 10 days ago. As you can imagine very upsetting call so I was very polite!!

Said they where my gas and electricity supplier SSE. First called my by an initial "MR J" then by my name, saying sse don't do meter readings anymore. asked if i had given them a reading in the last 10 weeks. I am sure they would know if i had. I have had a call from this number before their either trying to selling smart meters, fishing for bank info or both.

This number called me today, claiming to call from SSE. She knew my name and I confirmed. But thanks to Samsung smart call it said potential fraud. When I said to the lady I'm going to end the call as it has come up with potential fraud, she hung up.

Loud female with asian accent bellowing into the phone failed to convince me she was genuine at the time. I checked as best I could after the call and she may well have been from SSE and may well have been genuinely asking for a meter reading. Her demeanour did nothing to raise confidence! Its all fine and dany them asking to 'prove' I am who they want to talk to for "privace and security", but they do not prove who they are! I'm not going to give a scammer legitimate information that makes their scam seem more legitimate. SSE, and other service providers, need to pick up on this!
