Caller called my home telephone number claiming to be from Eon. The number he was calling from was 0345 05 20000. He claimed that Eon had sent 3 letters to my address and had I received them, which I hadn't. He confirmed my address to ensure they had the right details and said I had missed the last 3 monthly payments. This could be due to an issue with their systems or a change in my bank details. As I receive my bills by email and had only just received this month's statement I knew this was a lie. I asked him what my monthly payment was and he wrongly quoted the payment. At this point I said he was a scammer and he replied with very colourful language. Either Eon have very poor customer Agents or their telephone number has been cloned and may have had a data breach that has not been published

Passive aggressive, claimed to work in collaboration with British Gas. Phoned my business phone 4 times in a hour, shouted and verbally abused my staff when they wouldn’t hand out information about company directors. I believe e-ons number has been cloned. Harassing.
