Had a letter stating I owed £140.00 to Hitachi Captial...I've never taken a loan out in my life, so instantly knew it was a scam. The letter appears threatening and to anyone else this would be quite fearful. The letter asked for my bank details...AVOID giving out. Ripped up letter and put in fireplace.

Every 6 months they call. It's Lowell's debt collection agency. They check current financial state to see if payment amount is still affordable. Not a scam. This is safe to answer. Ignoring will only make them call again and again.
