Scam caller, said they were from my insurance company reviewing my policy. Wanted me to share details of my policy with them. Had my personal details such as my birthday with them. Rang my mobile rather than landline.

Rang advising they’re reviewing my life assurance policy. 3rd party- not my actual company. Had all my personal info. My insurance company advised that they don’t work for them. My company don’t make outgoing calls and will only write to me. Advised I would report them to action fraud- hung up. Female called Alicia.

Life insurance under review. I asked who I held my policy with and they said it was irrelevant. I phoned my provider, they confirmed scam call.

they ring regarding your accident 9regarless of who's fault it is) pretending to be from your insurance company - whereas in reality they are lying and are trying a scam. They have NO connection with your insurance company and will ring off abruptly when you ask to confirm they are acting on behalf of your insurers -ask for the persons name and ask them to confirm they have your insurers permission.
