Offer to transfer my cuurent energy supplier to British Gas. (Telemarketer) reported by Peter Thorndyke
I asked for further info and received an email confirming the offer and i responded by email saying it looked laughably cheap. No further contact. Wish I had put the phone down immediatly.

Being very sceptical as always when you receive a call from a sell person, didn't expect the outcome. Indeed, the person claimed was from British Gas. He never asked for any financial info. He asked if I wanted to set up the DD over the phone, or over the post. Obviously, I asked for the paper version. Soon after the call I had an email asking to set up and password. I didn't click on anything on the email (just in case), but I went directly to BG website and set the password through there. Worked. Few days later the Direct Debit Instructions arrived with a welcome paperwork. I set it up online using the chat customer's service. Now, few days in - my account fully set up and paying less.

According to others on another website that checks numbers, this call is saying they are from British Gas. The caller asked the receiver if he pays by Direct Debit. He said, mind your own business. The caller ended the call. Luckily I've already Blocked these Moron's.

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?
