I know a lot of people are fed up of these calls but if you actually listen to what they say it is a very good way to reduce your phone bills. They do everything for you and it is all very stress free. Next time one of these people ring you try and take a couple minutes out of your day and approach the call with an open mind.

the guy asked for the BT account holder, as we are with BT I said I was able to speak to him. He then bombarded my ears with a loud and over excited sales pitch about how I can save 40% on my bills and BT are overcharging me etc. Couldn't get a word in, so I hung up and blocked the number. We are registered with TPS but this clearly hasn't worked on this occasion.

Had 2 calls from them today (so far) both times asking to speak to BT Account Holder, both times being told we're not with BT, for them to reply "oh, sorry, I don't know why you've flagged up; I'll get you removed"!! Will report as am TPS registered but that doesn't seem to stop these people. Had a similar thing a few months back; he called 9 times in one day

Pushy, loud (held the phone away from my ear!) salesman offering government discount on business line phone bill. Doesn't like being questioned, very persistent! Will not send info on an email. Put the phone down on the third call!

Offering government discount on business line. I am nor with BT, said no problem, they could change me over with no hassle. Very pushy. I said I was not prepared to go any further until I had done some online research and I put the phone down. I then found their number 03333207276 had many complaints.

Persistent man who kept changing the story. Said he was from a wholesale telesales and that BT were over charging. Unwilling to send literature or provide anything website.

Phoned offering an "entitlement" on our BT Line. (Telemarketer) reported by


I said that the person who deals with BT was unavailable and they said that they couldn't receive incoming calls. I persisted and asked for a number at which point they said that if I phoned back, I'd just get Customer Services who wouldn't be able to help me. I queried the point that Customer Services, wouldn't be able help me. It's a this point they hung up on me. 99% sure that they're not BT although pretty much claiming they are. Rude. Do not waste your time.

Gave an address which sounded like Sycamore Close (which is not my address). I said "sorry I think you have wrong number" he apologised and we ended call. He did not pursue it further

Called to talk about "the charges on the BT land line at number 3" in this road, but none of us have numbers, only house names. They hung up as soon as I started questioning them. We are ex-directory and registered with TPS, so clearly not a genuine caller.
