Southern water calling because I had an outstanding bill. Left a voicemail and I knew I had a bill so definitely not a scam!

Unfortunately Bob, above, is incorrect. It's not a scam, this is completely legit. I was unsure, so Googled Southern Waters actual number on the internet, which is 0330 303 0368 if you want to check. I phoned that number to be sure and spoke to the woman there, who confirmed all the details in the original text. She even sent me a copy of my bill. She said if I wanted to pay I could do so through Southern Water's own online portal https://www.southernwater.co.uk/pay-bill/your-details. No pressure to pay there and then over the phone and I have no other issues with this number at all. Ask them and they will tell you your customer number, which you can then check against any bill you receive to confirm their identity.

Genuine call from Southern Water. She confirmed my account and meter number before checking if I still needed their priority service. Not a scam.

Said from southern water said was updating records, there was a noise in background like a click. And he said he was just turning on security and that they needed to update details. I said I do not answer questions over phone. He then said that's OK but get your number from your bill, and phone. But sounded nervous.

It’s southern water debt department, they call you and ask to pay outstanding bill in my area once a year, so it’s all fine and legit. I called souther water after and they confirmed it’s all good and I got an email from the guy 5 mins after phone call

This is southern water debt advice department. They called me as i had forgotten to pay my bill. I told them i didnt want to pay ove rte phone and they understood and directed me to the online service or to cal the number that was printed on top of the bill. Not a scam and was southern water
