Call from this number but starting +144. Said it was a recorded message from HMRC and that I was under investigation and if I don't press "1" they would issue a warrant for my arrest. The phone is a company phone and I'm a tax adviser, so luckily I knew that there was no way it was true, but could be worrying for some people as this is a genuine HMRC number.

Automated messaged saying I was being taken to court for tax evasion etc, press 1 to speak to someone or you will be arrested! Pressed 1, told that I had £1448 in outstanding tax to be paid and that HMRC were prosecuting me on four counts of tax evasion and fraud. I could either go to court but face a fine of £30,000 and 5 years in prison or admit it was an accident and pay the money owed. I asked to clarify the details on their system that they held and I was given a VERY OLD postcode and then they hung up.

A answering machine recorded message from Customs, I have had a similar call before. It's a scam either asking for money or asking for card details. i did not listen to all of it, as I have heard it before. Block from your phone.

says from HMRC and reels of a message when you talk to someone they say fraud investigations and feel off loads of ref numbers please if you can get as much info as poss and report.
