Getting HMRC corporation tax requests for a call back from a foreign accented lady. But when I called the number 03003227831 the scottish voice says the number has changed to the one above. When I google both numbers some posts say this is a scam and others say the number is actually HMRC but I've received nothing by post or email so I believed this to be a scam - alarm bells were ringing. I called this number and it does appear to be HMRC at first BUT having got through to the chap at the other end - who was also very convincing - IT IS A SCAM. He tried to tell me that we had debts from 16/17 and 17/18 tax years. But HMRC have said nothing and sent nothing in the meantime - they would have made contact about this before. BEWARE it is a very very good fraud - they warn you about fraudulent calls in the automated hold information before you are put through. They even use the same hold music as HMRC!!! I told the chap I hoped his parents were proud of him!

Hey again another call. I knew it was a scam the first time I got a call. As anyone will know HMRC will not phone you they always send out a letter for you to phone them. And another thing I Do Not owe any tax. So they would have no reason to call me. I never speak to a robot or continue a call. Always hang up and block the number as if it was HMRC they would contact you via letter.

Called and a robot answered and told me that there was fraud on my account. Told me to press 1 to be connected to discuss or I would be arrested by the police. I didn't press anything and then it hung up!

a friend of mine had these guys sending him letters and calling for about 18 months, some woman calling him saying he owed Corp Tax which he did, he recieved a letter then a visit from a HMRC Collector, thing is after calling HMRC, they said they dont have collectors they send out field operatives who carry ID with a verification code, you call a number and confirm they are who they say they are, theres court bailiffs who will visit but only after a court decesion, HMRC confirmed its a scam he also recieved a hand delivered threatening letter, with a envelope to post a cheque back thing is HMRC dont take cheques that way anymore. I would advise small security cameras film these guys put them up on social media, they use tricks like saying you can pay online, but you see out of every 10 people even if they catch out 2 they make a ****. never pay over the phone or on the doorstep NEVER!

This is the HMRC Corporation Tax Debt Management Team. Not sure why people are saying they are scammers. I received a letter from HMRC regarding Corporation Tax that I knew was outstanding and this was a call regarding that.

i got a letter on an HMRC letterhead telling me that i owe corporation tax of £9397.23. The letter was written in a terribly unprofessional manner, on a thin flimsly grey paper, an unmarked envelope, and was delivered by hand. This was the number they had to contact them on.

TOTAL SCAMMERS!!! The telephone number 03002003841 (0300 200 3841) are containing people trying to obtain money for Corporation Tax bills which don't exist. They are not from HM Revenue & Customs, they are fraudsters. They also use a variation of 0300 numbers to try and replicate HM Revenue, another one being too is 03000522114 (0300 0522 144). I contacted HM Revenue & Customs and notified them of these numbers, however, they are already aware of these fraudster. Prior to contacting HM Revenue & Customs i phoned our accountants as they would be the first ones to be notified of any outstanding payments, again, they confirmed the people calling are indeed fraudsters. If in doubt you should simply contact HM Revenue and Customs direct on the official telephone number 0300 200 3600
