Called my home number and asked to speak to the manager of the business!!! Then claimed to be our electricity supplier but didn't know who our supplier is. When I made it quite clear that I knew it was a scam he hung up.

This caller had a heavy accent and said they were our current Electricity supplier Eon - They are NOT our current supplier, they then asked who was our supplier, I didn't answer and told them to stop calling - they hung up! Blocked!

First the caller stated he from my energy supplier EON (who are not) then said British Gas (again not my supplier). I stated you said Eon first at which point he rang up.

The man on the phone started arguing with me about whether he was allowed to phone or not. When I asked for his name he said he was Barack Obama. He said he was from EON - after this call I will never use EON.

Claimed to be from EDF. One wonders why energy companies in this country can't employ people who can speak understandable English! Of course he was calling from the Asian subcontinent. Do they not understand that most people here are on to their scams and just find it tiresome to keep picking up the bl00dy phone to them?
