Good Evening, Today I had a call from a company claiming to be you (contact number 020 8089 2541) they said I’d been accepted for a loan as I’ve applied for a few and they said because I have a low credit score they need to take the first payment of £100 in order to receive the loan so I sent them the fund to there account (sort code 11-08-48/ account number 10088069) which is accsociated with Halifax bank in South Wales. After if transferred them the money they tried to send me the loan funds they then later rang me and said they have tried to send the funds but it keeps getting sent back as my credit score is too low for them to send it. They then continued to say I need to send them a further £250 to send it as an electronic transfer which is refundable and they will send me the loan of £1250. After they mentioned this it raised my doubt a lot higher as I didn’t think having a low credit score would effect them sending me the funds? Which to my knowledge it isn’t, so as they have said they are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) I am going to contact them tomorrow long with the Citizens Advice Service, my bank and their bank. I would like to come to some sort of solution with this wether I have to take it further or not, but because they have used your company name I thought it would be in your best interest to know about this as-well because if course if you are nothing to do with this so called company then they are using your name and putting your reputation down! I currently feel like this is some sort of scam and could be fooling more people then just me so far I have only given them £100 which by the end of all this I will hopefully get back.
