trying to sign me up to be my stock broker. they are very persistent and wont take no for an answer to the point of being very rude. I have asked to speak to a manager twice and been passed up to someone that tried to tell me that as it wasn't an unsolicited call my registration with the TPS was irrelevant. As soon as I asked for proof that I had requested a call from them he hung up... on both occasions. I'm getting sick of this now and am considering getting an injunction against them as they are calling my home phone which is ex directory and only a very limited number of people have it, so SOMEONE in either the hospital administration or BT is harvesting numbers as I NEVER give my home number out on the internet or in an email for ANY REASON.

Cold call you to offer you online trading products. Very insistent that you make money with them. They had no idea what the Telephone Preference Service was so I suggested they do some research. I got passed up the chain twice to more senior managers a sale as I made out I was a very experienced margin trader. I played them for a while before telling them I wasn't interested and told them I was terminating the call.

Stern Trading - associated with the Orion Code trading scam (Scam call) reported by


I looked into the Orion Code trading scam by clicking on 'Work from home' link (yes - I found out it was a scam after doing some research) and this company 'Stern Trading' or 'Stern Options' keep calling me to say that I have now opened a trading account (thankfully I haven't spent a single penny on this other than my wasted time) - which I haven't. When I answered one of their many calls - for which they use different London based numbers btw - I spoke to a young man and told him that I wasn't going to pursue anything and would they please remove me from their database; he then said very aggressively "Why Not???!!!!" So after two backward & forward exchanges of "Because I don't want to" (me) and "But WHY not???!!!!" (him), I hung up on him and have rejected all of the numbers calling from London now after checking them out on this ShouldIAnswer website (thank God for it!).
