This number keeps calling our office, asks for someone not here, (Nuisance call) reported by


Our office has had calls from this number several times usually when we are closed. Finally spoke to a woman today who asked for someone who has had not been here for a very long time. She then put the phone down and if you try to call the number back (to see who it was) there is no ring tone. Must be a nuisance call.

Woman calls from company X? says we agreed to sponsor educational books for schools. I said no we didn't. She said they have recordings of call so I said no you haven't and ended the call. They call us about once a year with the same scam call.

Was called today by a lady who launched into a speech saying that I had kindly agreed to be involved in some educational book scheme last year. She was contacting me to thank me and let me know it had been a huge success, therefore she wanted to send me a thank you certificate. Did I want my personal name on this or the company name. At this point stopped her and said that I had no recollection at all of doing anything like this. After pausing for a while, she said she would look into this and get back to me. Yeah right. Needless to say no further phone calls.

Caller - Lady 11th April 2017 Calling from some charity based organisation - the woman speaks so fast you can not actually catch the exact organisation name correctly. asked twice to repeat then couldn't be bothered to ask again (may be I should have kept on asking!) She says she called in December and spoke to me (gives specific name)so I requested the date she called but she had no date but said the first week. At which point I should have said I wasn't in the country. Telling me I agreed to sponsor the educational books for school and everything is ready and about to go out. I asked what the books were - fire & safety, strangers, awareness, importance of education..... So I interrupted and said all this stuff is covered in schools and they have thousands of literature for it. She starts telling me they don't have these!! Well, I said, I am a governor and the schools I'm a governor for they have all this and they definitely don't need any more! . She then telling me a whole lot of read out mumbo jumbo and says they can send the books to a nominated school or they can send it to whoever is on their list. I maintain schools don't need it and then she starts saying local communities do need them. So I then say ..wait up you doing all this for free!? at which point she goes no and that I had agreed to pay £149.00 in December and that's why they have been printed. I say to her sorry but I agreed to nothing in December and I don't need any of it. She was adamant that she had a recording and she was a legitimate company and legally bound by regulation. So I said that's good send me the recording. At which point she said she would call back in 10 minutes and make me hear the recording. LIAR no call yet!

lady called before approximately a week ago and called again, saying they spoke to me in January regarding the books to go to local community etc now the books have been printed out and the bill for this is £189. i replied i do not remember we spoke in January, she kept saying when we spoke they have been given my consent to do so, and she said i remember i spoke to you myself very clearly, which i have no idea. lady keep talking until i interrupted and she said stop shouting at me, i said i am not shouting at you, you are allowing me no room to talk, then she said we have call recorded when consent was given and now i shall get my colleague to call you back, for what ? interestingly i have no idea and she hung up. complete scam !!

Children's sponsored book scam (Scam call) reported by


TOTAL SCAM by total SCUM!! A particularly disgusting scam at that. First few scripted minutes lady tells you your sponsored books will be sent to a school of your choice or a school will be picked. Couldn't remember okaying it but was told it was last year and they are now printed. Then, slipped into the script very quickly, a bill for £189 will be sent out at which point i said this is a con isn't it! I would have remembered that! Mrs Scripted Halfwit then replies it is about childrens' education! Complete nonsense! It has nothing to do with childrens' education and everything to do with conning money from small businesses. Unscrupulous thieves perhaps sending £30 worth of books to a school and charging small businesses £189! If you want to give books to schools... just do it! The proof really is, when i said cancel everything, i believe it is a nasty little scam, she said ok no problem. Now if they had printed books to a (fictitious order) and were about to send them to a school, do.you really think me cancelling would be "no problem" ?? Of course not. Ignore these disgusting marketing companies using children to hoodwink money from you. The woman making the call is either VERY stupid and easily led or has literally no heart! Hang up or better still, tell them you're interested and can they hang on a moment.... then go out! Absolute scum of the Earth!
