Tried to say I had entered into a verbal contract with him for some books for a school. He was aggressive and persistent. I told him I know its a scam call and for him to go and **** himself. He would have argued all day I think. I hung up.

I was called by a **** young man who said my company had agreed to an advertising campaign for a childrens road safety charity. I hadn't, I am a one-man-band 'company' who never agrees to anything from cold callers.

Absolute scam, said they had a recording of our verbal order in March (note we dont do business over the telephone), really pushy guy who said his name was michael gilbert. Talked really fast, and got annoyed when asked to repeat himself. Said the invoice will be in the post. Absolute scam, avoid at all costs as they are trying to say you agreed on the telphone to place an avert in some charity magazine. No 1 - I dont do business over the phone, no 2 I would not have given you a password over the phone!!!! I will be taking this further with action fraud

Thanking us for sponsoring, we don't do this, its become so bad in the last few years. Asked for a person by name, who is not working here for awhile. When pressed he said they were P.B.S. when I asked what or who are P.B.S. he hung up.

Claimed i sponsored books to send out to children’s school back in March. I asked for a copy of the contract I signed to agree to this and I was told it was a verbal agreement of £99. I told them to invoice me and I’ll dispute the invoice. They put the phone down. Called back a week later and had exactly the same call. I was told is only £99 and what was the problem, I said I never agreed to it. I was told that he wasn’t gonna argue over £99 and and invoice would be sent and put phone down!!! SCAM!

sponsorship claimed i volunteered £299 to sponsor help children (Scam call) reported by


claimed I had spoken in march and insisted I pay £299 in 7 days as they were sending an invoice for the sponsorship. I insisted that this was not the case as I am ill and not working so wouldn't have done that and especially not for that amount. I asked for copy of conversation and they said they had it and asked my email address which I gave and then said once received this would I then pay the invoice. I told them to take their invoice and poke it where the sun doesn't shine.

Very similar call to RMccabe, Somehow he knew my birthday and I had given that as a reference in December. Finished up as an aggressive threatening call when I kept asking for verification, and that his Contracts Department would be contacting me to collect £199 invoice fee!

Claimed that sponsorship of a booklet to be sent out to schools had been agreed over the phone back in February (Not the case at all) and that an invoice would be sent. Claimed to have a recording of the telephone conversation. Likely to be someone using a fraudulent caller ID number, as the phone number seems to be allocated to a carpet cleaning business. BEWARE SCAM CALL.

Thanked me for my sponsorship in November and said a bill would be out to me today. I said I never agreed to sponsorship and asked for a recording of the phone call when I agreed it. They said they would get it to me and would MAKE ME PAY THE BILL. Quite threatening language and demeanor.

I received a phonecall from this number today. They told be they had rang back in March and I had agreed to make a sponsor. They asked me whether I had chosen the school where I wanted the books to be donated to. They said they would send me invoice details in the post and that I would received a copy of the book they would be sending to schools. When they said they were going to pass me onto someone else to take some details I put the phone down.
