Why call a Cyprus mobile and then hang up? (Nuisance call) reported by


Early this morning I received a call to my Cyprus mobile from this number. After a short burst of music the call was terminated by the caller. It is probably a 'proof of life call' from a robotic system which in turn may lead to further unsolicited calls.

a lady simply said she's calling from ILM and she asked if i was so-and-so but couldnt pronounce anything close to my name which is actually easy to pronounce (Mohammad).. i told her i'm in the uk and you're phoning my international number ( I work in saudi arabia) and i'm now paying for this call, so she hung up quite quickly.

Peter (?) from ILM told me he had found my details (and phone) on the internet and asked if I had paid any pension contributions to any of the UK companies I worked for in the past. I replied that everything was in order and left it at that. I then searched on the internet and discovered that the company ILM is mentioned on www.shouldianswer.co.uk under other phone numbers ... I sent Peter an SMS asking how he got my phone number ...
