Purported to be ‘Domestic & General (Scam call) reported by


Caller said she was from ‘Domestic & General’ and began asking me for ,security information’, starting with my full name. Despite asking three times caller refused to tell me what the call concerned, other than something vague about ‘warranty’. When I asked ‘warrant for what’, she reverted to asking me for my When I (politfullY) declined to give it without further information (I have had a warranty with D&G in the past), she hung up. Even in the very unlikely event that this call was genuine, they are clearly not following appropriate protocols. Given that the great majority of people on this forum have given this a negative rating, how are they still operating??

Keep on calling and asking for a Mr Warland. Never heard of him. When challenged to the purpose of their call I am assured my number will be removed from their database and then they hang up without a "goodbye" or sorry for bothering you. Reported them to BT.
