car accident scam - too much information. Same here. they use different London numbers everytime. I also had an accident. But I am normally good at identifying these.! What threw me was that they had the full name of the other driver, my car registration number and lots more details. But they did drag out of me the usual for "security purposes" my address which I am mad about. When I quizzed them about who they are the name of the company. they said they are the independent accident investigators and have assessed the damage and the other side have accepted liability (not true!. When asked who you are and how did you do that, they say they are from 'Motor Engineers' and from the photographs you I sent (clever! Motor Engineers website has a disclaimer about this) Long story, short, I have reported the numbers to Action Fraud on this number 0300 123 2040. They have far too much information about you and the accident that insurance company claim they shouldn't!!

Just had an insurance claim with my car and keep getting calls from London numbers saying they want to get my compensation. They are rude and one hung up on me. They had a lot of my details. Will be blocking!

They have been hounding me ever since I had a car accident- they pretend to call from your own insurer but on making a complaint to my insurer they advised that my details had been added to a list (which they have to do) which all these companies can get access to. Mega spam- honestly tried to get my mother to claim against me for a gate slamming into the back of the car. Really unhappy with them and really fed up of them all calling all the time

Said they were from my insurance company ... I asked if I could call them back ...and miraculously they cannot ! I said I'd call him through my insurance telephone number and he hung up .. complete scammer. They get the details about 4 weeks after all accidents ... and then try to get a cut of a your claim... using the most deeply unscrupulous pitching . Most will threaten you with stabbing etc ... it's dreadful and the police should shut them down ... but for some reason cannot !! even with evidence and recorded messages.

Said they were dealing with my insurance claim yet they couldn't give me basic details. When I confronted them asking if they were actually calling on behalf of my insurers they got aggressive. They swore at me before they hung up. Rude and full of lies. Horrible people.

Made claims they were to do with third party, made claims the third party were claiming against me. Despite the fact that there was no 3rd Party. Abusive when challenged.

Purported to already be handling my motor claim on behalf of my insurer. The knew all reg numbers etc. When I asked them to confirm my actual claim number they rapidly hung up.

Attempting to get info regarding a non fault car accident. Referring to the defendant claiming personal injury against victim. If they call you direct them to your insurance company or solicitor. Note that the 1st caller hung up on me swearing but then another advisor called me back to give further harassment and abuse.
