Received a call asking to speak to myself and wanted to know if they were talking to me or not. I told them it depended on who they were before I confirmed any details. They told me that under the Data Protection Act they couldn't tell me who they were until after I confirmed my name. I told them. That was ridiculous as I'm not wanting them to disclose any information they had about me, I just wanted to know what company they were calling from so that I could make an informed decision as to whether I wanted to speak with them or not. The operator (who genuinely sounded like a nice guy) gave me his name - I said that with the best will in the world I don't know if your name is real or not, the same way that you don't know if I am the actual person you wanted to talk to. He went on again and again about data protection and I repeated that the Data Protection Act doesn't prohibit him telling me what company he's from. We ended up parting not knowing who each other was.

I signed up to bingo xtra a while ago and is the first time they called me, I missed the call and googled it and just had one rating come up on here, called back and said hello thank you for calling bingo xtra, I hung up
