Same number as phoned me on the same date last year. Last year they called themselves UK Renovations, today they called themselves Home Solutions. They have also phoned me from different numbers at least 20 times, using different fake company names but always with the same script and the same mispronounciation of my name. On every previous occasion I have instructed them to remove my name and contact details from their database, as they have never been authorised to hold that personal information. They said they would do this, but I know from past experience that they won't, because GDPR obviously doesn't apply to them. I asked where they were based and where I could submit a complaint, and they went silent.

Wanted to tell me the warranty on the washing machine had expired today. Couldn't say where they were calling from but had name and address so obvs got a dump from somewhere. They hung up.

Called, asked about my warranty on washing machine - told my I could save £100 by extending warranty on my Whirlpool product (I actually have an LG washing machine, but the person said that LG is part of the Whirlpool group - I do not think it is, somehow!) for £66 - I told them I could save a further £66 by not taking out an extended warranty on my 7+ year-old LG Washing machine. They hung up on me.

Called the number back and you could select option 1 to no longer receive calls from them. However they shouldn't be using my number in the first pace as it's protected by the Telephone Preference Service. Hung up when I said I wasn't the person they were after - so rude and annoying. These companies should be made responsible for their actions and fined for doing such things.
