Washing machine warranty (Financial services) reported by Angpilgrim
The man who I spoke to (which now thinking about it didn't introduce himself) told me that my warranty for my machine has now expired. He didn't know the make of my machine and I foolishly told him (I could tell he was then writing this down). He never asked IF I wanted to extent the warranty but more like HOW I wanted to pay. I.e pay for it in one go or set up separate payments. I declined either way as my husband only had a phonecall days ago about it and he declined then. It wasn't until I looked up the number that I saw these other comments.

Sky Scam (Scam call) reported by nickname
Told me my Sky box was now out of warranty. Immediately knew it was a scam - Never had Sky - but I played along. started asking unusual questions, where are they located, how many do I have. When I asked where he had got my number from, he told me I must have ticked it was OK from sky when I signed up. Told him I never have had Sky - he hung up. Rang again the next night, must have realised as he hung up just as I answered. - Beware

Told me my Hotpoint washing machine warranty had run out. We haven't got a Hotpoint. He put the phone down whilst HE was in mid-sentence.

Same thing happened to me. I dont have a hotpoint. Just said sorry and cleared the line.

Had a call from this number and male voice asked to speak to Mr... but then didn't have a name. I said sorry who did you wish to speak to and he hung up. This is a common sign of a scammer and coupled with the information below seems to confirm that. Have now put the number in my call blocker.

Washing Machine Scam (Scam call) reported by ConcernedCitizen
A man with a rough accent called claimed to be selling extended warranties on washing machines. This was dubious as my washing machine is really old. I asked which washing machine we had. He said Bosch. I told him he was misinformed and he hung up. This is an obvious scam. Do not trust this number. Do not give them any information.
