They have a whole bunch of 0203 numbers, and want you to claim for something (we had a minor car accident that had been generously settled by Churchill). They have been pestering us for 2 years. Now when they phone, I express delight. /Great to hear from you,. First thing, let me have your address....... At this point they hang up. Try it. If you are lucky enough to get an address, invoice them @£50 per minute for professional services (ie answering their calls). They will be obliged to pay .

Called to say I hadn't reviewed my life insurance policy for some time. I was confused as I do have a policy with work so took me a while to realise it was just a telemarketer.

Just had a call from 0203 634 2699. A girl asked if I knew I was entitled to claim something. I asked nicely to be taken off their mailing list and she said I had opted in and she could take me off their list but I would remain on the master list. She asked for a reason and I said "because I didn't ask for this call" and she kept insisting that I had and got more and more pushy. I've blocked their number now.

Landline from London area. There are few similar numbers reported by more people (or searched on these pages) so I assume they all belong to the same call centre - 0203 634 9 660, 0203 634 9 920, 0203 634 9 982 - note that only the last two/three digits alternate, which is common for call centres to have some range of numbers dedicated for their business. Did someone received some offer from those or similar? It can be some good service, but I am a bit suspicious seeing similar numbers calling the same day...
