Car accident PIP payment (Nuisance call) reported by


Phoned up to ask if I had had a car accident, but did not offer any specifics on the nature of my car accident. They tried to tell me that I may be owed some sort of PIP payment to the value of £1500. When I said I wasn't interested, they hung up. They have since tried calling me again but I have ignored their calls and now blocked their number.

Claiming to be the National Insurance Group. (Nuisance call) reported by


Extremely plausible girl called Abbey with a Manchester accent. Started asking about a minor car accident in the last 2.5 years(which I had) and wanted to put me through to a senior advisor for an insurance claim for 'discomfort' and 'inconvenience'. She claimed that my 'file' would be open for 3 years until I made a claim or asked for it to be closed. Stated that the money was set aside by the insurer of the third party and it's "very unusual" to get such a suspicious response from anyone. Having read the above, I'll put the number on blocked.

Trying to persuade people to make fraudulent insurance claims - they will benefit by sharing in any payout on a contingency fee basis. In short are involved in conspiracy to defraud. Also ignore call preference list which is a criminal offence.

Another 'Ambulance Chaser' call (Unsolicited call) reported by


'You were called today by The National Accident Database, press 1 to request not to be contacted again or 2 to be connected to an operator' is the recorded message when I called this number. Obviously I pressed 1 to stop calls being made so I'll wait and see if it works...which I doubt! I've done the press 1 for opt out on numerous other numbers however some are still calling me. Fingers crossed I'll get no more 'Ambulance Chaser' calls.

Lady with London Accent I think (non British way of saying my name as both first and last) . About an accident I had had in last two and a half years. Failed to give the date of an accident. Was calling them ambulance chasers when hung up. Best thing to do with these people is to show them you know the game.
