Scam saying Id won lottery lines for euro millions (Telemarketer) reported by


Lots of calls from this number, when I finally answered they knew all my details. They knew my name, address, postcode and email address and went on to say that I had won 10 free lines in the euro millions and that they'd send me an email. They even asked me to pick my numbers and said I would be entered into a cindicate with 149 others and even if my numbers didn't win and others did then I'd share the prize fund. Then offered me a promotional offer to sign up to monthly and that if I didn't win they'd refund me money, hinting that it was a no brainier, yet proceeded to ask me for my bank details so my 'winnings' could be transferred into. Now I have an online lottery account so there's no reason why if legitimite they would of had this info already. I declined giving them my details and the female caller got 'stroppy' and then I ignored all other calls. It's scary to think they know your basic details but it's not hard to get these on an individual so I'm not surprised. Needless to say that email they promised to send me never came through and as a rule of thumb - never give out your bank details unless you make the call and your confident you're passing them for the right reason.

SCAM - Saying National Lottery (Telemarketer) reported by


Rang to say I'd won 5 free lines on the lottery and then proceeded to try and sell 75 lines each month for a minimal fee each month. Said they were from "National Lottery" which is dubious with the call centre noise in the background. Indian accent.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 2036346xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with fake wins, prize draws, lottery - euro millions etc. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
