Was just called by this number - very friendly (too friendly) lady said she was calling from the Pension Audit and it was not a sales call. She said she needed to know if I had a company or private pension. When I replied that I was concerned about the authenticity of the call she hung up immediately

When I answered they said they are calling from the bank and something critical had happened. I should move my money to a safe account and they will help me and take care of everything. I said hold on and called the police and told them that someone is calling me and saying that something happened to my account. Police asked me to ask for the following: 1. What's your full name? 2. What's your address? 3. What's your bank's name? 4. What is the Bank's Registered address? I asked these questions, they just hung up?!?!?!?!? Dangerous please don't pick up.

Male caller from Pension Audit (unsolicited call), when I said I did not know who they were as I had not rang them and was therefore going to end the call. Caller told me I was a stubborn one and he would end the call!

Call about, they're records show you've paid into some sort of pension scheme. Private or public she says. They don't know and they're up to no good. Avoid them. She claims she'll take number off system but I'm not holding my breath. Nothing to do with any pension service governmental or private company. Variation on the PPI scam.

They ask about whether you have received your latest pension statement and then offer you a pension review if you are not aware of the new legislation relating to pensions and all the charges that are taken from your pension. I just told them I am aware so they then update your information and remove you.

This is some landline from London area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts : people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Did someone answer this number?

Yes I answered, as others have said asking about Pension statements. Once I started to question the caller she quoted a website then ended the call. Unsolicited call, I have now blocked the number.
