They called my number and then rang off so I looked it up here and thank goodness I did - these blasted calls are driving me potty - I get at least two a day that I have to block!!!! This one is now added to the BLOCKED list!

Received a call from this number, the lady claimed that her company receive a download from insurance companies about recent accidents, and wanted to know why I had not claimed the legal/accident compensation due to me. Apparently I am in line for the lowest tier payment of £1,000 - £3,500. When I began to ask questions about it, the lady got very snippy and told me that she had a job to do. She couldn't explain when the accident was, becuase apparently those details are confidetnail, and she could get in trouble if she revealed information to someone who was not really me (!). This wasnt a typical "Have you had an accident?" type call, it was much slicker than that. However when I pressed for more details, there were only vague replies, although she assured me that this is not a cold call, becuase that would be illegal. I assume this is a scam, but am also concerned how they have obtained my details.

The woman had my last name and it was the usual nuisance call, claiming something in relation to a car accident, some payment not collected or something. I don't even have a car. I basically hang up and blocked the number straight away. Don't waste your time.

I thought this was a scam call as the guy very confidently said he's phoning on behalf of life insurance companies they look after to check people are still happy with their policy. When I questioned him and said I didn't have a policy, he apologised and said sometimes they get the wrong information sent through!!! I didn't talk to him long but assumed it was someone trying to get personal information out of me, rather than sell me something

Had a call from a female asking questions about any accidents or damage to my car in the last few years. Don't know how she knew my full name, but when I asked her for more info on what exactly this is about, she ended the call ! Beware. Don't give out any information if it doesn't seem right !
