Called claiming to be the IRS and said they have my file!

irs insurance claim calling for someone reported you as a passanger in a car accident. this kind of reports are scam to get insurance money, so they verify if you were in the car or at the car accident as witness. someone just gave your name. nothing to do about you.

Recommend them. They are a UK government run scheme which you register your number with and they will stop cold calls. If any get through you make a complaint and they can get shut down or investigated.

According to the British Telecom operator the telephone number 020 3634 2336 belongs to Nexbridge Communications (http://nexbridge.co.uk/), who look like a telecoms company who are probably leasing this number out to the company making these calls. Please feel free to phone them on 03456 800 800 and complain that one of their numbers is being used to make nuisance phone calls; you can leave them a voice-mail if they are closed. Passing a bit of irritation back in the direction of the cold callers was certainly worth a few minutes of my time.
