I was getting calls from this number for quite some time now. I wanted the calls to stop at any cost. Therefore, I called the grievance cell number provided by the company to put an end to this. They promptly took action and I have not received a single call from them. At first I thought this might be a scam. But turns out it is a legitimate UK-based company doing lifestyle survey. I see no threat here.

Rang claiming they were from Lancashire County Council carrying out a short survey. First question what news-paper do you read? They hung up when I asked them why LCC would want to know what paper I read.

If this number is phoning you on your mobile phone do what I have just done after them phoning twice today - I did not answer the call and have an app. called calls blocked. It's a free app. and so easy to use I have just blocked this number, you can also block unwanted text messages with this app. too.

Seriously annoying (that's when you can understand a word they saying) that they can't understand I'm not interested in updating their wrong information (for a marketing database). Lost count how many times I've tried to get them to understand that I want my information removed. I expect it will stop soon then start again with a ever so slightly different number, idiots. Perhaps next call I'll hand over to my three year old, I think he speaks their language if not he'll keep them busy for an hour or two.

Several unsolicited calls over a fortnight or so from this number and VERY similar numbers that are obviously their block of numbers for outgoing calls. If you miss the call, (which is easy to do cos it only rings a few times), then call it back, (because it looks like a UK landline number), you cannot get through because YOUR number is barred, (so they obviously don't want YOU to disturb THEM). And if you dial from a landline, you can get through, (at least, I did), but having asked for my number to be removed from their lists, I kept receiving calls anyway! I'm gegistered with the Te3lephone Preference Service, but these people call anyway. I think they're actually out of the country, even though they use a UK prefix. Can't swear to that, but the technology exists nowadays for them to do that easiliy enough and they're a bloody paid inthe a*!
