I was called by a chap called Andrew who said he worked for a recovery client care team. Actually he represents the 'ambulance chasing' division of Bott & Co - solicitors who specialise in claiming damages for personal injury. He told me that if we could say that, as a result of a car bump, we had taken painkillers for 'injury' he could get each car occupant £2,500. Since no-one was hurt we do not intend to make any such claim - to me this is thinly didguised attempted fraud. Solicitors are supposed to be honest people!!!

Call about a car accident - not from my insurers - non specific about details. cl;early after making a whiplash claim, or claiming against the vehicle repairers, saying they had complaints.

Called to say had a lot of complaints about repair company. Under stood it was X car, didn't even get the right one. Told them to call back when they got their information correct or better still don't bother as they couldn't get they're research right in the first place.... Scammers....

Called to say they were aware my car was repaired and had 'had a lot of complaints about the repair company' and wanted to ask if I was happy... I couldn't get a word in edgeways with the caller so I hung up and then called back. Was answered with by my name, to which I asked what the name of the company was, as I wanted to put in a formal complaint against the company for breach of TPS and data protection laws. Was put on hold. Hung up and called back again, got through to someone else who told me the company was called "CDT" and tried to explain that they weren't selling anything. He really did not understand how TPS is supposed to work, and I eventually managed to get through to him I wasn't interested and that he needed to take my name and number off his database.... Parasites, plain and simple....

Based in Manchester area their calls are routed from different exchanges each time they call. Never the same number and impossible to track down the company to complain. Not the way a honest company would do business. Crooks.

Called to say they were aware my car was repaired in June and had 'had a lot of complaints about the repair company' and wanted to ask if I was happy. Pointed out that it was a write-off, which if he was legitimately calling he should have known. Went on to ask if I was happy with the valuation and happy that they wrote it off or did I think it could have been repaired. I lost signal at that point! Claimed that knowing the registration number of my old car was proof of legitimacy which is rubbish as details of accidents get sold on from all sorts of sources!

This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with Sky TV, PPI, insurance marketing...
