Caller said my warranty was up on my washing machine, I laughed and asked him what model it was because i knew this was wrong, then he hung up

gentleman called telling me my warranty for my washing machine held at my address had expired, apparently I have a Phillips washing machine??? There have been well documented stories of elderly people being conned into buying multiple warranties for their washing machines and being non the wiser until their family investigate their finances. Please don't be conned by these blood thirsty scammers and buy warranties should you think you need them and keep all your paperwork together in a file you you know what is where.

Well, this number is a general call centre from London, they use this number for more companies, come of them are non-profit... Since today I have collected reports from this number from: Cancer Research UK, ATL (a teachers union), VSO charity, Paydayloans (check them at http://www.epaydayloansover12months.co.uk/),NSPPC - check them at http://www.nspcc.org.uk/ ... So the usage alternates, you decide if answering it is worthy...
