Said they could get some money back from my bank for me, it just needed me to claim it,then wanted me to give them my personal details. Yeah right, told them that for data protection I do not give any details out over the phone. At this point I had goggled the number and was now aware that it some shady company by the name of Active Capital, apparently debt collectors. This all seemed a little strange so I said for them to write to me. Where upon they wanted my full name and address, yeah right. I told them not to call me again and told them to jog on or words to that effect. I then put the phone down and ended the call. Remember never never give your details out over the phone or in a letter, if they know you and your details they don't need them twice.

Easy to get rid of...
1) "I do not consent to this conversation being recorded"
2) "Never heard of you. Sorry, I will not disclose any personal information (date of birth etc) to someone who calls me." --- they are legally bound not to discuss matters without proving that way you are who they called!
