Trying to access your O2 account fraudulently (Scam call) reported by


Caller claimed they were from O2 and sent me two texts with the pretence of offering 40% discount on my bill. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE VERIFICATION CODE SENT IN THE SECOND TEXT. When I spoke to O2 on 202, they told me they are aware of this scam and, if you give the scammers the code, they can access your ‘My O2’. The 0203 scam number rang me back twice until I blocked them. BEWARE - REAL SCAM! (Sure, it was a south Asian sounding person - besides the point in my opinion; scammers come in every size and shape!)

Caller wanted to ask 4 questions about my preferences for drinking wine but assured me it wasn't a sales call. For taking part in the survey he said that his colleague would give me a call with a surprise gift - I guess that's when they try and sell something! Number is now blocked.
