Stealing your phone number (Robocall) reported by


I rang to register AEG products on two occasions on 0800 9521100. On BOTH occasions I stated that I do not want any marketing material and NEVER gave my phone number to them at any time. After each call I received a message from Domestic and General for a survey. Domestic and General will illegally copy/steal your phone number or the number of the phone you used, WITHOUT permission at all. This is illegal under GDPR and presumably before 25 May 2018 dishonest and illegal if you did not give them permission to use it. If you borrow a friends phone or even call from a call box they will still ring back.

My wife received a pre-recorded telemessage but didn't hang about. She puts the 'phone down quickly. However, I had rung Sky Protect to terminate a( Domestic and General Satellite TV policy less than an hour before). Damned nuisance. Reporting to the regulator

D&G Insurance - Yet another time wasting survey about how satisfied I was with the way the person I spoke to responded. they never ask how you feel about the 23 min wait in the queue before speaking to anyone!
