Angel Williams from BT who gave this number when I said would call back once I'd checked out what she was saying, although it actually shows on my phone as 02073565007, trying to scare me with at least 6 'foreign' hackers were using my IP address and they'd have to turn off my network connection and had I noticed my internet had been slower lately - who's going to say no to that! I took it as far as I dared to see what they wanted me to do - firstly typed Windows+R which brought up the Run dialogue box and then typed cmd there which brought up the black screen system32 command box. The wanted me to type something there that would bring up my "Customer Security Licence No." as 888DCA60 to prove that they were legit, which I wouldn't do. Usual scam process of putting thru to manager and persistent phone calls when I said not prepared to go any further.

‘James’ had strong Indian accent, and claimed he was from BT Head Office. Said my internet security had been compromised and that I needed to take steps to fix it, with his help. I refused.

Caller with indian accent claiming to be from BT cyber security saying my ip address had been hacked and wanting me to download various items of software relating to stop the hacks including Team view. Gave this number to call to check that the call was genuine. Called but response was too quick to be genuine. Terminated call. Then had about a dozen calls from untraceable ie non UK numbers numbers

Scam caller said he was from BT (Scam call) reported by


Caller rang my friend saying her computer had been hacked and he was from BT. He said her internet address was being used over and over again. Persuaded her to download three programmes, Team View, Any Desk and Terminal, which she did. He asked about bank accounts and shopping. He also had two others, one male and one female, who he passed her over to during the conversation. They all had Indian accents. She mentioned Amazon account but smelled a rat when he asked about Bank Account and she terminated the call. He gave the following number for her to ring back after seeking advice from a friend, me. 02032894184. She did not ring back. He computer is not turned off and will be cleaned by a professional.

BT Broadband (Call centre) reported by


Gave name as John Abrahams from BT who said my broadband connection was being compromised and I needed to log on to find out who the hackers were. I asked for their number to call back and they gave me this one. When I called it was answered with 'Hello, this is BT' Call originally came from 02089030400 which didn't pick up when I called.

Said her name was Sandra Wilson and she worked for BT ( staff no MS7620) and that she represented BT who were taking the initiative because my broadband speed was slow and someone else was using my router. When I asked for identity, she gave me this number as ' BT London office'.
