Recieved a call from 02032869950 spoke to Jessica Carls sounded with an Asiatic accent. I was put on hold as she wanted to pull my record then would transfer my call. Hang up after 6 minutes. Is this a con or what? no criminal record never evaded tax. Help

I returned a missed call to this number and got through to a lady who was pretty unintelligible but insisted she was HMRC. When I probed further she hung up so I called HMRC myself and they checked the details, confirming it was a scam. Reported to Action Fraud.

Message said I had to call them back (or my solicitor has to) or face the full force of the law. Coincidence maybe, but I had given my number 20 minutes before to a call back service operated by Accor Hotels. Has their service been hacked...

The same number called me - I think your call was a coincidence. If they could spend half the effort doing something not scammy the world would be a happier place.
