tried to tell me he was phoning on behalf of uk gov grants and that I was to receive a grant for £8000 he gave me a code and told me to phone this number. when I told him he was a scam artist he became abusive

I received a call today by a gentleman telling me that I won £8000 government grant. If called thus number to activate a code. But first I had to pay £210 before they release £8000. Don't fool for it its a scam.

Like Pinchof I was called by someone with strong Indian accent. A grant of £8000 was promised if I called this number. Certainly a scam.

Not aware of this scam until now . parents asked to pay £210 to get £8000 pounds the government was going to (give )them , do not get drawn into this scam

This was regarding a once in a lifetime government grant of £1000 which does not have to be paid back. Fat chance of that!

States you have won £8000 but need to pay £250 to claim it and pay at a post office. Call taker with indian/Pakistani accent then became very rude when he realised he had been found out. IGNORE!!!!

Was called by woman from Indian Sub continent.I had been randomly selected by British Gov. to receive grant of £8000.Would be paid by Post office or Western Union. Gave me a code and the above number to call her manager who would authorise the release of the money.No doubt he would want my bank details. DEFINITE SCAM!!!!
