Scam - wanted to send Courier today with a cheque from a court (Scam call) reported by Pippa
As others, a scam which my pensioner mum nearly fell for - Indian accent who said he was from the city court of London despatch dept with a cheque for £2850 re. HSBC/HBOS and wanted to send a courier to her house today to get her ID, get her to sign something, etc. Lucky I arrived when did!

The callers (Delivery Officer Roger Smith/Steve Gardner) had my name address and phone number claiming they had a £2750 cheque for me from PPI. I was asked to buy £175 in iTune vouchers then they could hand deliver the cheque......

I was offered a cheque saying it's from county hall London. (Scam call) reported by Angela
A man rang with a asian accent , telling me he has a cheque from Barclays Bank and it has to be delivered by hand! They new my name and where I lived, they said a man by the name of Steve white would bring the cheque and I should sign two documents before they would hand over the cheque. I don't live anywhere near London so straight away I new this was a scam they could answer and questions that I asked. I have contacted the police and left them to deal with it. The number which I was called from is-020-328-61930.
