HMRC tax office SCAM (Scam call) reported by C Johnson
on answering the call, a recorded message states HMRC have a legal case against you and give a ref number. Then tell you to get solicitors in order and call back on 0203 2860 050. I did not call this number back, but spoke to HMRC who said it was a scam and has been reported to Action Fraud.

I was given a number to call as it said a HRMC complaint had been lodged against me and an arrest warrant was going to be issued so I was not to ignore this!!! HAD ENOUGH OF THESE SCAM CALLS

A pre-recorded call threatening legal action from HMRC if I did not call the number they gave. There was no attempt to identify them or to ensure they had the correct person. Call tone was quite overbearing and designed to un-nerve anyone listening.
