Phoned on the 12th December, asking who my life insurance was with, how much did I pay, not phoning from the number on the website (the one listed for the company) said I could get a better deal with my life insurance. Told tmhe I did not have time to take the call said they will ring back

An intelligent-sounding, well-educated woman with a pleasant British accent called seeking to discuss my current life insurance cover. I asked what organisation she was calling from and said she was from Active Life. I told her I didn't actually have any life insurance cover and she apologised for the error and didn't press me any further. However, this may well have been a phishing call, bearing in mind the similar experience of others. So please everyone: don't be fooled by the reassuring educated British accent - it's still a cold caller - hang up!
