Help to stop cold calls Make it less cost effective for them to cold call. That is the only way to make this stop. Added telephone number to my address book as a "Pest" or whatever you like, so that I can recognize them again. I do this instead of just blocking the number, i.e. answer the call to make the connection and make them pay in money and time. DO NOT talk to them. DO NOT listen to them. Just connect the call and forget about it. Let them talk so it will cost the company money and time. If the majority of the public do this for all pest calls, these companies' costs will quickly rise higher than what they make and they will do something else. If you just block them, the cost will be much less and they do not waste any time as they use automated diallers. They will just change their number and start again. The government is getting revenue from them so will not step in. I have saved over 60 numbers as "Pest" so that I recognize them calling. Please share this with your friends so more people will adopt this and make these cold call stop.
