Called consistently for over 2 weeks. I missed the first couple but the next few were just open lines, this week it's been different people all with the same name! saying that I owe thousands in tax and to make a payment immediately. Needless to say I hung up every time... best thing to do is to leave the line open and play sh*t music down the phone.

This is a scam - albeit very poor quality , already featured on watch dog and national news - I encourage everyone to ring the number and abuse them. waste their time and money

Received a message from this number (02031296397) this morning claiming to be an call from HMRC and failure to call back urgently would result in action being taken. This is not genuine as anyone with an iota of intelligence knows that official organisations do not work in this manner. To state three obvious points: 1. It was a pre-recorded message from someone with a poor American accent. 2. If there was a genuine issue, HMRC would make contact in writing. 3. Niether my wife's name nor mine was used. It is definitely a scam. Have blocked the number so they will not be bothering me/us again.

Left message on answer machine. Told to phone number as concerned urgent matter. If i did not return call then police may be involved. Recorded message. Did not return call and waiting for police ha ha.

We received a message from this number 0203 129 6397 this morning on our answer machine. A lady with an American accent call Helen Graham claimed that she was from HMRC and that failure to call her back on the above number could lead to the police being involved. Definitely NOT HRMC. It is a scam.

SCAM call from above number stating Heather Graham from HMRC using American dialect and procedures regarding tax matters. Sounds like a pre recorded message continually phoning and leaving messages on answerphone advising failure to call back will result in serious action and Police attendance !! Also uses number 02031291927.

Recorded message said they were from HMRC and to ring back. It sounded distinctly suspicious and scammy so I dis-connected and dialed 1471 to get their number.
