Said he was James from BT technical dept and the internet will be cut off due to hacking activity.Checked with BT who confirmed there were no problems with the account

Indian sounding caller said she is from BT Internet and will have to cut off our internet because it has rogue files which she can help me rempve(!). Said name is Nicole Williams. Gave me no 02031295436 to check if call genuine . Clearly a scam.

I have reported to BT Internal Security as the caller doesn't frighten off and stay on line arguing ,a new tactic for BT Spam calls and if it is a land line maybe BT can do something about it I even told them I was a BT employee and knew it was a scam made no difference ..................

BT Internet Security (Scam call) reported by Richard
Indian call centre purporting to be BT Internet Security. Suggested internet connection would be cut for a couple of weeks as problems with our system being compromised. Asked for number they were calling from and checked it out online during call. I hung up before call went any further.

claimed to be BT INternet security and wanted access to computer (Scam call) reported by willcocks
Checked with BT it was a plishing call / scam and reported to police, caller was Indian sounding called himself George and when number was called back it was answered as BT Internet Security. It definitely wasn't them and they verify this.

Another version of the "assoc" scam (Scam call) reported by Fred
The caller said he was from BT and that my service was going to be disconnected for 20 days. Foreign accent. He said he could give me my Customer License Service ID# as proof of his authenticity. After I asked several questions I was eventually transferred to an "expert" who then proceeded with the "assoc" scam; (see https://www.welivesecurity.com/2014/05/22/support-scam-using-ms-dos-attack/). After I told him that I was aware of the scam, he hung up.
