TPS query updating their system to eliminate PPI recorded calls. Confirmed my address and how I paid my phone bill. Then asked for my card details. End of call!

Man claiming to be ringing on behalf of TPS - asked if I still receive "telemarketing calls" - when I said yes he said it was "because your registration has expired and if you would just...." at which point I cut in and said "No no no - telephone preference service doesn't expire, thank you, goodbye." and he hung up.

Sounded like a housewife busy with kids, announced she was with a life assurance company -- Click For Life -- following up an earlier call (which I'd never had). I told her she was wasting her and my time, and to get her own life.

Asked questions about how I paid my phone bill....bit weird. Could not get sensible answers to my questions. They quoted a long number which was supposed to be by TPS reference, but then referred to Visa card numbers so I hung up.

Same thing happened to me this morning. Really rude guy as well who wouldn't take no for an answer - I hung up when he asked for my debit card expiry date. Sounded really weird.

Claimed to be TPS renewals, when I aske for their number to ring them back then hung up on me!!
