PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT... EVEN IF ITS NOT FROM THE NUMBER HERE LISTED... I WILL STOP YOU FROM BEING SCAMMED... Ok everyone and anyone who receives a call from 020 302 63957, get as much information from them without giving YOUR info. It is a scam, I have just had the same call from the same company (if you can call it that) Here is how my conversation went... Caller "Hello my name is Jane calling from Microsoft, you have a virus on your computer that we need to address" Me (finding it quite difficult to understand her eastern asian accent) "Sorry could you just repeat that?" Caller "Yes my name is Jane from Microsoft. We have detected a malicious virus on your computer that is inside your windows programme that is important for you that we remove this right now" ME "Sorry just one moment, you called me so let's just go through a couple of security questions first before we go any further. Where did you say you were calling from again?" Caller "Microsoft". Me "And can you confirm the number you're ringing from?" Caller "Yes its 020 302 63957". Me "Very good, now could you give me your extension number in case we get cut off and I need to reach you again?" Caller "Yes it's (now here's the good bit) 1183282053". Me " Wow thats a very long extension number you must have half the worlds population working for you". Caller "Yes quite, now are you sitting in front of your computer right now". Me "Yes but we'll get to that i haven't yet finished the security questions, now what is your full name, Jane is quite popular isn't it" Caller (getting a little frustrated) "Yes, my name is Jane Watson". Me "Wow such an English name for such a foreign accent" (fell on deaf ears that bit)". Caller "are you in front of your computer". Me "I am yes but there's still a little bit more to get through first. Where are you based Jane?".
