Second one I managed to answer in time and a Scottish recorded voice (female) said "This is a test call from your service provider". All seems fine and NOT a nuisance call.

These calls are conducted by BT IPEX porting desk in order to ascertain that the routing for the ported number is correct. They are automated, If it fails they fail the port, they specifically ring for a short duration to test it's answered.

Don't get chance to answer the call before they hang up. Keep calling every few minutes. Will be blocking caller!
