Scam call reported by AJblossom
Indian sounding chap asked for some random lady. When I said he had the wrong number he said he had the wrong name and asked what mine was. I said I didn't know who he was or what company he was and he replied asking why I couldn't remember him - acting like I was silly because "he'd just been chatting with me"! I asked him what company he was and he didn't reply. He asked me my age and I said that I thought it was a scam call just trying to get money and he said he hadn't even mentioned money and that it wasn't a scam call as I would be in complete charge over who I gave any money to! ???? He then said he was Matthew calling from the company "Life Protect". He asked again for my name and I gave him a middle name. He then said he was calling to ask if I had any life insurance, and seemed a bit surprised when I said I didn't, so he asked what my reasons were. He gave me his life insurance shpeel. Without asking he told me he was 21, and went further to say that he'd be 22 on [date (I can't remember)]th July as he was born in 2002... and then he asked me my age again. When I still gave my rough age, he tried to specify further. When I still wouldn't specify he asked if I was okay before then saying it sounded like I had a mental condition(!!) I was incredulous that he'd said that, so I told him that that was a good ploy to tell his "client" that they had a mental condition when trying to get them to spend their money on his company! I think he must've realised that he was never going to get anything from me so he said goodbye. I said goodbye, but didn't hang up... He was silent for a short while and then he said "okay, I'm going to scam you" and then hung up.
