They have been ringin me for years, caused a lot of stress, I have already told then I receive regular hearing tests already in my work so can they please stop ringing, mada no difference. I told them they obviusly have worked in a noisy environment as they cant here me telling them not to ring, made no difference. Bought a call blocing telephone, absolute bliss.

Manchester woman knew my name and said she had me down as working in industry (I worked in an engineering factory for a few weeks as a student about 40 years ago). I asked which industry she meant and she said "engineering and so on". I asked what database it was that had this information. She didn't answer that question but just wearily told me that she'd have my details removed, and we hung up.

Several calls over five days. All silent except one which was from Adam as 'Sherlock Holmes' and 'Normie' above. He told me that 'my file' showed that I had done several years in industry, how had that affected my health? I informed him that I had never worked in industry and that I have been a physiotherapist for almost fifty years. And as for my health I haven't ever lost one day of work during this time which is true. He politely (not) told me that I was talking Bovine Dung. That no one worked for fifty years nor did anyone never have a day off. I'd told him that I was with a client who was paying me to work. It didn't deter him as he went on and on and on and on. "I won't keep you many minutes etc" Even when I told him "No you won't, I'm working so I'm hanging up now" He raised his voice a few decibels and told me that I was very rude and that "NO ONE hangs up on ME. " Then he put the phone down on me. I haven't lost any sleep over it. Clearly he's not self employed. Even more clearly the idiot has a lot to learn. The only thing that's worrying about this is that the future of the nation depends on people like this.

Answered this number as local and thought might be important. Female with local accent said from National Advisory Clinic and asked if I had ever worked in industry. I asked why she was ringing me and without another word cut me off. I rang number back and was given a different number to contact. I didn't ring it but will stick to not answering unrecognised numbers on basis if urgent will leave message anyway.

They phoned me twice today, the second time I answered. I had, of course looked up the number in between. Health Advice Centre or some such name, the young lady gave me some more bs, whilst inviting me to a health meeting at the Park Hotel but could not pronounce the name of my local town. I actually told she was full of ..it and told her to remove my details from their database. As i was doing this she began to tell me how rude I was, when she was suddenly cut off, ...... the training isn't what it used to be!

Received call today asking for a person who has never lived here. He told me if I wrote a letter confirming that this person lived at the address he gave me and worked in a factory from 1980 I would no longer receive any more calls. I informed him I would not take part in any fraudulent claim and hung up immediately.

Mumbling bloke called Adam said his records showed that someone in the house had worked in industrial sector. I told him no, never. Then, using my husband's first name, he asked whether he had worked with tools. I told him his information was wrong and hung up.

Landline from Manchester area - previously I have seen many numbers from this area belonging to some call centres. This number seems to be used for fake PPI "help" or insurance claims (fake fake fake) - I recommend to block the whole 1618149xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range, do you have more info...?

Fed up with nuisance calls

I had this company ring me 3 times in 5 mins when I told them in no uncertain terms that I was sick of their persistent calls for someone I've never heard of. Just a bunch of brainless idiots with no chance of a job requiring intelligence! They told me they were the National Avice Clinic based at Wharf Industrial/Business Park, Bury. No idea if this is true or not, probably the latter.
