Well this is some landline from Manchester area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts : people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported with PPI and insurance marketing. People pls did someone answer this number, can you confirm? I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very useful for call centres). No problems.

I got a call from this number, 0161 814 8703, they knew about an accident I'd been involved in and started telling me about some new law. They said they worked alongside my insurance company. For a minute I was worried thinking there was a problem with my claim against the other driver because they said something about 'uninsured driver', then I told them the first thing I'd done was check online that the driver was insured through the DVLA. The more questions I asked, for instance for his name etc, the more wavery his voice got and the more defensive. He tried to hang up but I kept him talking thinking my phone was set to record the call, lol. Unluckily, the ap wasn't running! :-( I suggest you install an ap to record calls so you can pass it on the the insurance firm they claim to work with. This may be techically illegal, but all insurance firms record calls, so arguably that means, in my opinion, they've set the protocol for what is acceptible and you can always say you suspected criminal activity.
