I now live in Japan and still use my phone as an alarm.. so you can imagine my anger when it rings in the middle of the night and I am up way before the intended time. I never picked up so I don't know who's calling. After reading the reviews I'm glad I didn't answer.

Received call from Shane claiming to be from O2 my mobile provider even though my marketing was switched to off on O2 website, caller was rude and would not hang up even though I told him he was breaching DPA, reported this to ICO as a DPA breach as O2 having been passing my personal data on to TP'S

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16127766xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with O2, EE - telemarketing calls, just another call centre. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
