since we have smart metres there is no way our energy company would be chasing readings. Also this number called me daily for months .. my name is not even on an energy bill as they are in my husbands name. If there was any genuine reason to contact us and we ignored the calls for this long they would write to us.

Claiming to be from Avro energy suggesting they needed my meter reading and asking to confirm my details. I told him that I don't know who he is, I have never been contacted by Avro energy by phone before, and that I have recently submitted my readings which I do every three months and have done for the last 2years. I told him that I do not give any personal details to cold callers over the phone. He hung up.

Said he was from Avro, said he had to call every 6 months for an up to date meter reading, even though I’ve been with them for 2 years and never had a call. I was not at home so he said he would call later so I blocked the number. Readings weren’t due for 11 days anyway. Maybe trying to talk me into a smart meter, I used to work for British Gas and I know the energy companies have to push these smart meters hard otherwise they get fined.

Called knew my name, said my (named) utility company had asked for extra readings. I said it wasn't convenient. She left a reference number and number to call back on, and said she works for Lowri Beck Services, which checks out as a provider of meter reading services for the energy companies.

Was it Green Network Energy or Green Energy UK? They are two companies. Only one of which should have my phone number. Strange they didn't leave a message though.

They send a email asking for a reading , why do they need to phone. They don't , so i never answered . Must be trying to sell other things , they don't get permission to contact me by phone only by email . I say don't reply.
