Calling from different numbers and different places in the uk. I don’t answer them very often but when I do, it’s the same conversation about a minor traffic accident. I have had a driving licence for 6 years and, touch wood, I have never had a crash. Dirty scammers

Dodgy Liverpool number.

I received a call from a lady saying she's calling from LVI. Never heard of such a company. She said she was calling with regards to a car accident. It's hilarious as I don't have a driving licence and have never driven a car. The scary thing was that she knew my name and I'm now thinking to myself how did they manage to get such details. Don't answer this call as it is blatantly a scam. I only picked up as I was waiting on a call from a reputable company from whom I made a purchase and assumed that the call was from them.

LV is Liverpool Victoria, an insurance company, clearly they trying to sell you insurance, I don't think they were saying you had been in car accident, it's more likely they said "imagine IF you were in a car accident" or they got their actual script wrong. Just trying to sell you insurance, just block them. The get lists of phone numbers and names from electoral roll, market surveys you may have answered once, etc, and they plow through the entire list, that's why you get several calls from similar numbers, different cold callers in one office passing round the lists, everyone having a go.
